What is Celebrate Recovery?

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered, 12-step recovery program for anyone struggling with hurt, pain, or addiction of any kind. It is a safe place to find community and freedom from the issues that are controlling our life.

How do I get started with Celebrate Recovery-Lyons?

Simply show up to one of our weekly meetings. No registration is required, and everyone is welcome to start their journey at any time.

What happens at a typical Celebrate Recovery meeting?

A typical meeting includes a time of worship, a teaching or personal testimony, and small group open share time where you can connect with others in a safe environment.

What hurts, habits, and hangups can CR help with?

CR helps with a wide variety of struggles including chemical dependency, codependency, eating disorders, anger, past abuse, and any other issue that is holding you back from living fully.

What are the 8 Principles of Celebrate Recovery?

The 8 Principles are based on the Beatitudes from Matthew 5, providing a strong biblical foundation for our recovery journey and continuous healing.

What are the 12 Steps of Celebrate Recovery?

The 12 Steps are biblical steps that guide us through the process of acknowledging our need for God, making amends, and seeking ongoing spiritual growth.

Can I attend anonymously? Is my privacy protected?

Yes, anonymity and confidentiality are foundational to our ministry. We follow a strict guideline: who you see here and what is said here, stays here.

How does CR help with grief and loss?

We provide specific groups and resources designed to help individuals process grief and loss alongside a supportive, Christ-centered community.

How can I manage anxiety and stress?

Through our step studies and open share groups, you will learn biblical coping mechanisms and find a supportive family to help carry your daily burdens.

How can I request prayer?

You can request prayer directly during our open share groups, by speaking with our leadership team, or by reaching out to our church's prayer ministry.

What is the Serenity Prayer and the CR Creed?

These are foundational declarations we recite at our meetings to remind us of our daily reliance on God's strength and our commitment to the healing process.

What encouragement is there for someone who feels hopeless?

You are not alone. Our community is filled with people who have felt hopeless but found true healing, freedom, and renewed purpose through Jesus Christ.

What does the Bible say about recovery, healing, and freedom?
